Villages / Families

So that the radiance of documentary film can extend beyond Lussas into the surrounding villages, we have organised for many years open air screenings, in partnership with the town halls of the host villages and towns. These screenings have become popular over the years with inhabitants and tourists come to discover Ardèche. Most often organised in a shady village square, these convivial moments are the occasion to meet the filmmakers who accompany their films with passion, and sometimes a little stress! This year again, six evenings have been programmed all along the week, outdoors (weather permitting) in the “historic” villages of Saint-Laurent-sous-Coiron, Saint-Andéol-de-Vals, Darbres, and Villeneuve-de-Berg, but also in Jaujac and Chirols, newcomers among our partner villages.
In this family-friendly environment, the post-film debate with the filmmakers present is transformed into an exchange, an encounter. Three screenings will be organised in private homes in Lussas and its surroundings, under the guidance of Laura Monnier. Here the participant hosts become programmers, with our support, to welcome friends and family. A cinema “at home” which puts the accent on a much appreciated proximity between viewers and filmmakers.
