Last refuge for those forgotten by the American dream, motels in the USA are home to a whole population who has been left behind, drifting beings who, from crisis to crisis – economic and personal – have been dispossessed of everything. There are those who have lost everything. There are those who have left everything. Those who have forgotten everything. Those who still dream. Absorbed by daily survival, they all try to rebuild their lives in this precarious nest, on the edge of the world.
