For nearly two years, the Cinémathèque du documentaire, a public interest group uniting public and private partners, has been striving to federate actions aimed at promoting the value of documentary. These actors engaged in the distribution of films which have marked the history of cinema, of television and now of the web are present throughout the country. At the beginning about thirty, today close to fifty, they are all mobilised to give greater visibility to documentary, to better share its richness with the widest possible audiences. They make up a network which facilitates exchange, making it possible to set up mutual projects and promote the circulation of important films. The États généraux du film documentaire provide an opportunity for many of those present at Lussas to come together.
