Ignace was a young Jewish immigrant of Polish origin who arrived in Belgium just before war broke out. He was an apprentice tailor in 1940. At the age of 18 he enlisted in the Partisans Armés to escape being deported. He was fortunate enough not to be arrested or deported. For 2 years, Ignace was a "killer" and executed pro-Nazi collaborators.
After the war, he had an up-and-down career in dress-making and the clothing industry. The greatest page in the story of his life remains his 3 years of fighting to the death against the Nazis.
