In Corsica, the inhabitants of a village witnessed a gigantic fire. Three villagers share their memories of the event that changed the course of their lives.
Caroline saw the fire cross the village and when she looks at the mountain she can read the traces left by the flames. Pascal visits what still remains of the forest of his childhood, from that evening he recalls the memorable rescue of the elderly. The shepherd, Michel, had a hard time starting over his profession. Around his sheepfold, the ghosts of the fire are still palpable.
