Banyuls, chronique millésimée d'un terroir
Anne Julien
2000 - 52 min - Vidéo - Couleur - France

The Banyuls and Collioure vineyard, which has been called "impossible vineyard" is exceptional for many reasons : vertiginous slopes to which the vinestocks cling, ravaging rains during the equinoxes. The heroic work of women and men in those vines these makes human tasks impossible to mechanise.
The film draws a parallel between a conversation-wine tasting session with a geographer (Jean Robert Pitte) and a wine waiter (Olivier Poussier), both famous world-wide, and wine growers working in their vines, selected because of their strictness and respect of a soil unlike any other.
