In Seine-Saint-Denis, in the suburbs of Paris, Romanian families look for places to live over several years. During protests against evictions, we have become fellow travellers. We make this film together, like so many open houses. Moving from abandoned villages to shantytowns, squats and council estates, the intimacy of their stories is confronted with the constantly changing geography of the suburbs. From the high tower blocks to the Greater Paris, their trajectories recreate a common history: a history of solidarity between residents refusing relegation.
