“Two years have gone by since my first journey to Berlin. This month of October sends me back the image of my loneliness. I still hear the sound of my footsteps along the Landwehrkanal, the crackling and then the silence, the silence in a town. These deserted streets, this emptiness troubles me; a moment of love that is written in my memory.” Paris, October 1980. “This film is my journey, my story, that I try to describe through the ruins, the old suburbs, the streets of Berlin. I started a dialogue with the town and I filmed it; it is a wandering way going through Moabit, Wedding and Kreuzberg.”
