A documentary that examines the motivations of urban workers who go out to participate as volunteers in the sugar cane harvest. This film “is the product of the ideological debate lead by Che Guevara in the middle of the sixties on the moral qualities of labour in a revolutionary society. […] It is in fact far from being strident agit-prop or a political tract. It is the study of a brigade of voluntary workers from the city in the sugar cane harvest, without commentary, made by a meticulously observant camera.
