Francesco Di Cocco
1932 - Italie - Noir & Blanc - 13'
The only film by the painter Francesco Di Cocco, Il ventre della città, is a dispassionate and rigorous portrait of the agricultural chain that supplies a modern city: where does the meat, milk, fruit and bread that we eat every day come from? A small economics manual that takes us from the large slaughterhouses of Rome, across farms and warehouses into our dining rooms.
