After the Tunisian revolution, five railway workers were assigned to Line number 1. They nickname it “the normal line” for it was the first railroad built in the country and the only one constructed on international standards. It’s also the line that receives the least attention and repair and nothing ever happens as planned. A group portrait of Tunisian rail workers, Railway Men is a poetic and social road movie on labour as a metaphor for a society in transition.
