1922, Marcel Proust on his death bed examines some photos and looks back on his life. His life is his writing and the characters of reality are mixed with those of fiction. The fiction little by little takes ever more precedence over reality. All the characters begin haunting the little apartment on the rue Hamelin and the happy days of his childhood alternate with closer memories of his social and literary life.
