This documentary film about cancer, shot at the Lisbon Regional Center of the Portuguese Oncology Institute Francisco Gentil, follows several patients at different stages of the disease, from diagnosis to therapeutic procedures. This isn’t a film about patients in their terminal phases. Encounters take place in the daily work of medical visits, applied treatment, waiting rooms. The film questions the relationship between the scientific, cultural, and social reality of cancer, and the subjective reactions of people confronted to the disease.
