A sociological inquiry into a phenomenon of the sixties and seventies in Budapest: young women speak about how the meet, flirt and sleep with Italian tourists in the hope of a better life, Western brand products and a possible marriage. Sziomjas relates the naive desires of the women with irony and gives us an odd glimpse of socialist morality, which we might have thought more puritan… His film is actually a critique of the system, an exposé of the sterile traps of socialism, which made it seem perfectly natural to want to lose oneself in the mirage of consumer society.
