Golik portrays a day in the life of Smilja Glavaš, a twenty-two-year-old female factory worker, married with a small child, who lives in a suburb of Zagreb and is employed in the Pobjeda (“victory”) textile factory in the city. An excellent historical source for understanding women’s difficulties in combining productive and reproductive labour in socialist Yugoslavia.
