A camera describes a Havana night in the harbour district, men and women carried along by the flow of music, alcohol, pleasure… Shot with natural lighting and on site sound in the style of underground cinema: the film was made over several weekends and with little equipment (a hand held camera and an old tape recorder). P.M. was censored by the ICAIC because it “did not represent the Cuban people in the circumstances of the moment and offers a distorted vision of Cuban reality.” The confrontation provoked a meeting between Fidel Castro and intellectuals resulting in the famous sentence: “Within the Revolution, everything; against the Revolution, nothing.”
