Oradour-sur-Glane, a village in Limousin where six hundred and forty-two people were exterminated by the Nazis on the afternoon of June 10, 1944. The film recounts the stories of the heirs of the victims’ pain, echoing that of the director. Beyond its own tragedy, Oradour embodies something more universal. It is an iconic mirror reflecting other human disasters, past and present. All the pain in the world.
