A film dedicated to a group of painters (Henri Cueco, Gérard Tisserand, Lucien Fleury, jean Claude Latil, Michel Parré) "The Coopérative of the Malassis". Conceived at the end of the 1960's, it attracted attention by a practice of working collectively, as a group, for a period of about 10 years, a collective work witch was unique in the domain of the plastic arts.
These artists disturb by their commitment and their provocations against the established order at the same time as reflecting on the role and function of the artist in society.
This film questions the visual practice and the situations of these painters.
