The Cinémathèque du documentaire, supported jointly by the CNC, France Télévisions, LaScam, Sacem and Audiens, is an institution of general interest, dedicated to documentary and more particularly its dissemination toward the widest possible public. Based on a core of firmly committed partners (BnF, Bpi, Tënk, film-documentaire.fr, Images en Bibliothèques), the Cinémathèque deploys a diverse and federalist project: a cinematheque offering a daily programme at the Centre Pompidou; the consolidation of the on-line data base film-documentaire.fr; an “agency” building a support and promotion structure designed to encourage the screening of documentary; a laboratory for the future, developing with its partners important projects on various subjects (new media, improved accessibility to films, etc.).
