From Monday 21.08 to Wednesday 23.08,
Saint-Laurent-sous-Coiron, behind closed doors.
Once again our encounters will bring together twenty-four production duos (producer/director); a quartet of producers who will facilitate the sessions, in particular the Monday workshop, from August 21 to 23 at Saint-Laurent-sous-Coiron. A couple of dozen readers from all the professions where creative documentary still finds support, in large part thanks to them: broadcasters, distributors and institutional partners.
Over the three days a community will form, united by a shared experience and not a given objective.
The aim of the experience is to share visions, ways of seeing, and to put to the test of critical thought projects not destined to become “products” but which will preserve, we hope and in spite of the current groundswell, their irreducible singularity.
Side by side, there will be projects by beginners and by the experienced, newcomers to Lussas and former trainees along with students of the documentary school.
A variety of trajectories, histories, points of view which will once again contribute to the richness of these discussions.
Because they constitute first and above all, a true period of work, far from any spirit of competition, these August encounters mark each year an essential stage in the elaboration of future films.
We are delighted when we learn that many of these projects become films that have been seen and received acknowledgement.
