Off-site screenings

Villages / Families

Open-air screenings during the États généraux, in partner towns and villages around Lussas, are now a tradition. It’s a living tradition that’s renewed every year, so that the public in the Ardèche can discover recent films, accompanied by their directors. Organised with the help of the town councils of the host towns and villages, these screenings have become a way of bringing together local residents and tourists who have come to discover the Ardèche. A village square or school playground, a few chairs, a screen, and documentary cinema takes centre stage over the course of five evenings, in Le Teil (Monday), Saint-Andéol de Vals (Tuesday), Villeneuve de Berg (Wednesday), and Jaujac (Thursday and Friday). Admission is free, and screenings start after dark.
The documentary also takes place in people’s living rooms and gardens, as part of our home screenings. Always accompanied by the director, Laura Monnier brings the cinema to life in small groups, leading the discussion that is bound to emerge after the film. Three screenings are organised in people’s homes in Lussas and the surrounding area, during which the participating hosts act as programmers. An intimate cinema that brings filmmakers and viewers together and encourages discussion.
