Buon Ma Thuot, the Vietnam central highlands, dry season. Tran Xuan Ve, a veteran, and his wife harvest the calabash fruits from their verdurous garden. Lurking somewhere in his mind are distant memories of the killing scenes that he witnessed under the Khmer Rouge.
