I tell the story of Fernand Deligny, a famous educator, and his desire for cinema that intersected with his hosting of autistic children. From the hospital of Armentières near Lille in 1940 to the hamlet of Graniers in the Cévennes, Deligny invented homes that allowed children and adolescents to escape from confinement. He created collective dynamics and networks; he invented a permanent research workshop on what constitutes a human being, beyond language. I am the narrator of this film. Probably because I too was lucky enough to accompany him.
