Gilić uses slaughterhouse imagery to present the warlike nature of man, first depicting the cleaning and mechanical preparations for the slaughter. The killing itself is not shown but the off-screen strategy adopted by Gilić is more powerful. The alienation of a workforce beaten down by routine is darker than any fiction.
