Experimental surrealist film in which a secret agent, El Gringo, arrives in a Caribbean village to investigate the appearance of radioactive lobsters. During his stay in the hotel, a cat steals the unique lobster, El Gringo goes out into the streets of the village in search of the lobster, etc. Directed by Álvaro Cepeda Samudio, Enrique Grau Araújo, Luis Vicens, and Gabriel García Márquez, who would later become the great artists and protagonists of Colombian culture, this film is a milestone of Colombian cinema. It was the first film of its kind to be made in the country and one of the most important films of Latin American cinema culture. Federico Rossin
