At a particular point in his life, my father told me that he had lost his way. He didn’t know where he was any more: “It was a nothing, a suspended nothing, suddenly a blank, like a balloon bursting, it was unheard of!” Moved by these powerful yet enigmatic words, I decided to find out more. By taking the time to look at each other and talk to each other as never before, a whole father-son relationship was gradually reinvented, with all its complexities, joys and flashes of brilliance.
