To the Sea travels and lives through Europe, sweeping through and beyond political frontiers. A pathway linking West to East, a epic journey towards the sea. Beginning in the Black Forest, it runs its course all the way to the shores of the Black Sea. Between these two extermities, the film brings stories, encounters with people and landscapes from Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania.
