I haven't seen Ali for a long time. We know each other since we were children. We 're both syrian. But one year ago, he came to study in Berlin National Art School. He got a grant and settled there. Now he starts to be famous and he is on the verge to open his own exhibition. The paintings he presents are about the conception of sexuality in Syria. I ask him if this exhibition would not be more appropriate in Damas than in Berlin. He answers that our country is not ready for Art. Is it true ? What is the place of Art in Syria ? I decide to go there to investigate.
A few days later, I arrive in Damas. Cultures seem to mix in the dawn. Damas is waiting for the day to come. I have been 30 years that Damas is waiting for the day to come...
