In 1953, Mamadou Touré directed Mouramani, considered to be the first film directed by a French-speaking black African filmmaker. But nobody knew where to find it. Thierno Souleymane Diallo travels the length and breadth of Guinea in search of this lost work, using his camera to confront history and cinema, the cinema we watch and the cinema we make.
