In the Bolivian Altiplano, the inhabitants of the village of Tomave grow quinoa and raise llamas. They dress up, sing and laugh to call for rain, throwing firecrackers and confetti for Mother Earth. But some agronomists have arrived from the city and are prowling around the village, equipped with agricultural technology and determined to rationalise practices. The prelude to a strange masquerade.
