Historical essay film on Colombian political life from 1930 to 1970. The 1970 presidential elections are the perfect excuse to review Colombian democracy, marked by violent events almost since its origins and which at the time was protected by the Sitges Pact of 1957, when the foundations of the National Front between the Conservative and Liberal parties, were established. A stark portrait of Colombian politics in the years following the violence generated by the death of Jorge Eliécer Gaitán. Álvarez offers us a true history lesson masterfully orchestrated despite the poverty of the technical means at his disposal.
