This film uses sardonic humour to present the problems of urban transport in Bogotá and the situations that they give rise to, the crowds and the anxiety of the people trying to get to their homes or workplaces, along with unscrupulous people who take advantage of these groups of people for their unlawful activities. It is an x-ray of the “penny war” between irresponsible drivers on the national routes, which gives rise to countless tragedies. Duque Naranjo exploits the gory imagery of popular press, creating sensationalist situations charged with black humour, and testing many inventive sound-image experiments. F.R.
